A Retreat in Richmond

The last two and a half years have flown by so fast, since my last blog post. I took time away from one of my biggest passions, blogging to advance my career. I undertook two courses simultaneously Prince2 to develop my project management skills and User Experience to toy with going back to design. I’m still working on this in the background but decided to go back to my old stomping ground Richmond not far from Twickenham where I worked for 2 years!

Richmond is a haven in London. It strikes the perfect balance for a city girl like me, to feel like i’m in the country side but still surrounded by a plethora of shops.

The Harbour Hotel Richmond is a beautiful Georgian country house, located just outside the breathtaking Richmond Park, where deers make the odd appearance! It’s a scenic route on foot, cycling or driving, as the fresh unpolluted air fills your lungs. The air on this side of London definitely feels different.

The double bedroom was the perfect size and the pop of Orange was very on brand for me.

The Jack and Jill bathroom is a feature I already knew I needed, and did not feel guilty for using both simultaneously.

The drinks corner was a perfect for unwinding during the evenings.

Multipurpose spaces are always a win! The desk and vanity space is one I could have made more use of. I must admit I spent my downtime in bed.

Travelling through the hotel to the HarSpa was a luxurious feeling with floor to ceiling windows of the 20m heated swimming pool, that you felt approaching the space.

Arriving at spa the warmth and musk scents were really set the scene for serenity.

As a colour coordinator and organiser this was so aesthetically pleasing and immediately caught my attention.

I was drawn to the reception space, as it brought back memories of procuring spa equipment for Hotels in the Uk and Abroad.

The Hammocks were so comfortable and added a je ne sais quoi , I was apprehensive to sit on it but I could have stayed on it for hours.

This is one of my favourite features in a spa it allows you to continue with the zen mode following a treatment, or to unwind prior to your treatment.

Orange is a colour that exudes warmth and simplicity and is a reflection of how I felt staying at Harbour hotel Richmond. I stayed for a total of two nights and would be looking for to extend for three nights next time.

To see my highlights of my trip, particularly the 20m swimming pool check out my reel here.
